Ruben Hand, Founder & President

Ruben Hand didn’t start ACE Fitness behind a desk. He started in a warehouse, then moved into the field as a service technician, learning commercial fitness equipment from the inside out. That hands-on foundation is still at the core of everything ACE does today.

ACE Fitness was established in 2004 to fill a gap in the Arizona market: a service company built specifically for the demands of commercial facility operators. Not a retailer with a service department bolted on. Not a generalist handyman operation. A dedicated commercial partner with the training, staffing, and systems to support facilities that can’t afford downtime.

Today ACE employs a team of factory-certified technicians trained directly by the top equipment manufacturers in the industry. Every technician is bonded, insured, and experienced across all major commercial brands including True, Precor, Life Fitness, Matrix, Spirit, Intenza, and more. When an ACE tech shows up at your facility, they know your equipment.

We currently serve nearly 250 commercial clients across the Phoenix and Tucson markets, including hotels, multifamily properties, universities, corporate facilities, police, fire, and government agencies. Our clients stay with us because we show up, we document everything, and we make their lives easier.

Ruben Hand is a founder and President of NAHFTA, the North American Health & Fitness Trades Alliance  ,the first and only organization dedicated exclusively to advancing standards and professionalism in the fitness equipment service industry.

NAHFTA exists to raise the bar for how fitness equipment service companies operate, establishing standards of practice for service providers, manufacturers, retailers, and customers, and providing education, training, and resources to the businesses that install, maintain, and repair fitness equipment across North America.

ACE is a service company at our core, but we have found that our clients are better served when we can also source and supply equipment. Rather than coordinating between a separate dealer and a separate service company, ACE can handle both sides of the equation.
